                               RESOLUTION NO. 19627
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF CERTAIN STREETS IN THE DOWNTOWN
                   AREA, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, ON
                   SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 1992 FOR THE
                   PRESENTATION OF "UNCF BROKER'S 5K RUN FOR
                   EDUCATION" UNDER THE SPONSORSHIP OF THE
                   UNITED NEGRO COLLEGE FUND, INC., UNDER
                   CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of the eastbound south curb lane of M. L. King
       Boulevard between Market Street and Central Avenue, the 
southbound
       curb lane of Central Avenue between M. L. King Boulevard and Main 

       Street, the westbound curb lane of Main Street between Central
       Avenue and Market Street, and the northbound curb lane of Market
       Street between Main Street and M. L. King Boulevard on Saturday,
       November 7, 1992 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. for the 
presentation
       of "UNCF Broker's 5K Run for Education" under the sponsorship of
       the United Negro College Fund, Inc., provided that the sponsors
       shall set out and pick up all flasher barricades, traffic cones
       and traffic control signs in accordance with the traffic control
       plan attached hereto and shall provide at all times an access 
lane
       for emergency vehicles.
